Pool Swimming Settings

As I configured the Pool Swimming Activity last night for the first test of today, I noticed that there's no autoscroll option inside the activity settings.
The REST data page can't be turned on and off because this option also is missing.

Also... you can't configure the Rest Data Fields page.

I "surfed" the settings for a long time and I actually found out that the only moment the REST page is mentioned is if you try to REORDER some other Data Page... that's when you'll see that the REST page is actually there but you can't touch it.

I'm wondering if it's intended, if it's just me who can't find it or if it's a bug of the software. Anyone has any clues?
  • What sw. version have you? I can edit with no problem rest page data fields and also i can enable and disable this page...

I can edit all the data fields in the stock pool swim activity but i don't see the autoscroll option and the rest page option. Since i cant turn it on or off... i can't see nor edit the rest page data fields. The only time i see it's there is
When i try to reorder the other data pages.

    It's the current open beta.

I restored the app to its default settings and I did notice then that the REST page is the first of the data pages.
So, essentially, it was me, last night, who edited this page with different data fields and I couldn't recognize it anymore. Right now the only thing that tells you that's a rest page is the default data fields where you can see the Rest timer data field. I think this is not the right way to code this page into the Pool Swimming App. Of course there's no option to disable/enable the rest data page: it's basically a normal page you can utterly remove it just like the others and that's where the problem is, basically. It shouldn't be treated like other pages... it should be treated like the HR gauge (on-off).

Removing the Autoscroll is a very serious aggravation for this app-type for it IS possible to take a peek and I DO it, in fact, at the data while I'm breathing.
I can't see why one would add multiple pages to this app if you can't see them during the activity: You're not supposed to hit the scroll buttons while you're swimming whereas, when you're at the block resting you are looking at the Rest data page and 99.999999999999999% of the time you can't go pressing the buttons to watch the data since you're focused on the rest timer.

It makes no sense right now and I hope Garmin restores the autoscroll feature for the Pool Swimming App ASAP.

The important thing I noticed *immediately* is that the static GPS tests (5 in a row) show a distinct improvement in both trueness and accuracy (60% less distance accrued and 80% less error margin in regards to the exact watch location) when compared to my old tests with the F3. This supercedes any possible bad side the F5 software has now, used to have and EVER will have. :)
Did you or anyone else notice that or is it just me?
(It takes a very hard GPS scenario to notice something like that)
