So recovery heart rate is calculated 2 minutes after pausing an activity. However, if I'm using an activity with a workout that has a cool-down step, for example, from one of the Garmin training plans, then my heart rate has already come back down a fair bit.
So the logic would be,
If activity has a cool-down as the final step / interval, begin the 2 minute countdown for recovery heart rate.
Otherwise, wait for the activity to be paused as happens now.
