I see that ski maps are pre-loaded into the Fenix 6. Are they available and do they work for the Fenix 5 Plus? Thanks in advance!
Also, what benefit is there to ski maps? Won't the runs show up on the map either way, and just not associate the ski resort?

The Garmin Ski Map 2.0 from Fenix 6 does not work on Fenix 5 Plus, I tried ;)
Ski runs don't show up on the watch without specific ski area maps. You can download free maps for some resorts here: http://skidea.com/
I am sorry but the Fenix 6 Pro series ski resort maps are not available for prior generations.
Reviving this. Fenix 6 Ski maps are possible on any watch that accepts the img format. There some additional steps with getting them to work but...
Here they are on my 5X.
