Changing the preloaded maps

Hi,

I bought my Fenix 5X Plus from a US site. (I live in Denmark)

I wasn't thinking about the maps. But of course there are US/Canadian maps preloaded on the watch.

I have then bought and downloaded TOPOdenmark v4PRO and installed it on my watch. That works fine, but.....

Since it is a downloaded map it will not be updated (it doesnt appear in Garmin Express)

I have been told that my watch (if bought in Denmark) would have been preloaded with TOPOactive Europe.

Is there any way I can have TOPOactive Europe preloaded/installed correctly (and not just downloaded to the watch because then it wont get any updates)?

I will of course pay for this.

So basically I would like to have the default preloaded maps install (I live in Denmark) instead of the preloaded US/can maps which I have now.

I really hope someone can help me

I'd just call Garmin Support and ask them.

I asked support if my device could change from US to Europe region or be swapped out for a European refurb unit - No to both questions.

For Europe the maps available at OpenTopoMap are really nice. They provide for each region/country a separate map and contour file. Just drop the IMG files in the GARMIN folder of the watch.

Do those work with trendline routing?

Thinking if buying s watch in the Uk to use in Asia but need the functionality of Trendline without paying 100 extra for official maps.
