Anyone any experience of connecting Jaybird Tarah pro headphones to the Fenix 5+ or 945?

Yes, I do.  Unless I'm holding my arm up close to the headphones they crack and go in and out.  Interestingly, it is only bad when I'm on the road and have GPS mode running.  On the treadmill it's fine.  Not perfect, but fine. 

I'm using the Tarah Pro and a FR945
