Same here. Invoking any hotkey combination fixes the issue for a short period (less than a minute). I definitely don't want to do any master reset. Can't you just push a fixed firmware Garmin?
Hey trux,
While I understand you're doing your best to help, I'm really pissed that Garmin does not admit this cockup and does not immediately push a fixed firmware version. This gives me an impression that Garmin made a *** update and now wants me to lose my precious time to fix watch broken by this apalling, untested garbage of an update. I'd really love that Garmin listened to his users, just for once.
well said, kidney_thief!

That's comprehensible, but it won't help you much. You better complain directly at Garmin, since I bet they'll better avoid posting to these threads (at least until they identify and fix the issue). Only high load on their Support lines will make them aware of the seriousness of the issue.
It's getting better and better. I was chatting with Ange from Garmin support. She adviced me to reset the watch with powerbutton. I did this - it did not help. She told me she will be back with further assistance and... disconnected :D now I can't reach support because they're busy. The aftermath? After I reset the watch altimeter and barometer are dead. GPS can't get a fix (but it's foggy as hell, so I'm hoping my watch will be ok). Worst support experience EVER.
People do not reset your watches just yet, there is apparently more problems than not working buttons.
Ok, so I managed to get a fix and recalibrated the altimeter - now it's readings look ok. Barometer shows roughly good pressure. Now if only my watch had working buttons ;) this support form where you have to provide everything from your home address, watch serial to your shoe number is purely evil, but I will take my time to fill all this in, just to make my point.
yepp, more problems after reset: backup data has no effect, new widget settings not saved, new app settings not saved, display alters its content randomly and so on.
DO NOT RESET YOUR WATCH FOLKS!!!
