6.51 Change Log Notes:

Added Body Battery widget (Settings > Widgets > Add Widgets > Body Battery).
Made improvements to altimeter calibration.
- Added “During Activity” and “Not During Activity” auto calibration settings (Altimeter > Auto Cal.).
- Added option to manually calibrate altimeter to DEM (Altimeter > Calibrate > Use DEM).

Body Battery widget on the watch works fine, but the Body Battery pane does not appear on GC Mobile…

Is it also planned for final release to be able to see the "Body Battery" value on the watchface? Similar as e.g. steps taken?

Same problem for me. My iPhone is connected to active internet, with GC app opened. Instinct says "Retrieving..." And after about 2 minutes, It says "DEM Elevation is not available"...

I have to test it yet, so my comment is not based on the experience, just a guess:

Did you try moving a few meters and retrying the calibration? Perhaps the DEM table misses the elevation value for your immediate coordinates.

Although I'd expect it to take the value from closest key point, or an inteprolation among neighbouring key points, I have the experience from Elevation Correction, that it does not seem to be using any interpolation. When using the Elevation Correction on activities in locations with low density of DEM data, the algortihm, instead of the interpolation, resorts (for the given point) to the elevation data from the watch, whicih can create unexpected results (spikes in the elevation profile) when the altimeter on the watch is not perfectly calibrated (or when it uses just the unprecise GPS method for the altitude).

some feedback to beta:

- my altitude resets every night to zero with DEM calibrated manually and autocalibration set to during and in no activity

- for widget and DEM settings there is no translation on my watch to german

Great update - thanks! Enjoying the body battery.

One bug I've noticed is that when doing a Cardio session the watch crashes and restarts on the first or second set of reps.

Not sure if this is related to the update since I've only recently started using the cardio session.
