Instinct Display Technology

Hi,
I wonder how the monochrome, sunlight-visible, transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) displays like the one on my Instinct works. Does it work like e-ink displays? The more light getting on the watch, the easier you see the display. When it's dark you can't see it at all. Image below.

Nice bands, gaijin. May I know what it's called and where you get it from?

It's a Hirsch Liberty Nature Collection strap, but unfortunately has been discontinued and is no longer available. Very similar Hirsch Liberty straps are available from various sources online - a Google search should provide info.

Thanks Gaijin for the info. Very nice match with your Instinct.

It's amazing how the simple Instinct matched with the right band can looks so cool. Time to find some nice bands to upgrade my stock Instinct. :)
