Cannot get manual PulseOx reading if "PulseOx Sleep tracking" is enabled. Otherwise, it's ok.

Hello,

so it's the strangest thing. If I enable "PulseOx Sleep tracking" PulseOx readings at night are ok (okayish in terms of accuracy). But I cannot get manual reading. If in dark room I see a short flash of red light under the watch and then nothing.

As soon as I disable "PulseOx Sleep tracking", manual readings start to work. I can get value quickly. When I enable "PulseOx Sleep tracking" manual readings stop work again.

I guess the question is: "Is this bug known, or something wrong with my unit"?

System software: 11.00 (ea425aa)

GPS: 4.60

BMX: 0.9.1

BLE/ANT: 2.10

SNS: 3.00

WHR: 0.09.01

It seems to be a bug with the 11.00 update. Others in the forum have complained as well. I am unsure if Garmin are aware, so you can try contacting support.

Upgraded from first-gen Instinct, Solar seems a less stable product, unfortunately.

For me it works, but you have to wait and dont tough any buttons for few seconds. The measerument will start automatically. I also observe it since version eleven.

If I disable sleep tracking, it works for me like you described: sit still for couple of seconds and get a reading.

If it is enabled - no reading no matter how long I sit

Well bizarrely mine is the exact opposite! if pulseOx sleep is enabled I can get a manual reading but can't if its not enabled! Very strange

Same for me. Unless sleep tracking is enabled, I am unable to get manual readings.

Does the 5.0 update solves the issue?

somewhat yes.

With SNS 5.00:

1. Switch to PulseOx widget, press GPS button to start manual measure - DOESN'T WORK

2. Switch to PulseOx widget, wait few secs for it to start measure by itself - WORKS
