Fenix 5 wont sync my exercises to Garmin Connect

My Fenix 5 just wont sync my exercises up to the connect app unless I connect it through my laptop. The HR and steps show but my sleep and exercises dont.

I have tried all the options recommended: deleting app, reviewing Bluetooth, switching phone and watch off etc but nothing seems to work. When reconnecting it also took a few goes for the app to find and connect to my phone.

I've not tried a factory reset as I wanted to explore all other avenues first.

Anyone else had/have this issue.

  • 99% of the time, when you can sync using Garmin Express on your computer but you cannot sync through your Connect Mobile APP or you are missing certain data such as wellness data for the day or an activity saved on your watch, you are accidentally using multiple emails.

    One email can be signed into using Garmin Express and those successful syncs for you are arriving to 'that' Garmin Connect  web account but that information will not show in your Connect Mobile APP on your smartphone because you are using another 'email' when you signed into your GCM APP on your smartphone.
