Good for you. One important question: wich watch face do you use exactly?

Complete stock watchface but with battery indicator instead of step counter. Widgets: ABC-Widget, Sunrise/Sunset, Last Activity, Training, Stresslevel, Heartrate, Music Control. All original Garmin widgets.

wich watch face did you use when you had that performance?

    Also a stock one...
Widgets: Heart Rate, Training Status, Stress, Steps, Calories, My Day, ABC, Last Run

  • I use the same stock face as moe67er and get .3 percent per hour battery drain according to batterygauge. If I switch to a custom it jumps to .5 percent or greater. I found all I had to do was switch to stock, restart watch and battery performs as expected. Thankfully I just use either this one anyway or a very plain custom face - eye sight no good for those detailed ones.
  • I haven't tested much yet but with GPS + GALILEO the satellite lock was basically instant. Less than 1 second I think.
And the vertical speed was 0 right away.
The altitude calibration by GPS was only jumping 1 meter up/down instead of 10 like it was before.

Very excited to look at tracking and altitude results in the forest and among high buildings even if we don't have all the satellites up or in commission yet.
I'm in Oslo, Norway, perhaps it will work better further south and worse further north for the time being?

Regarding the GLONASS vs. Galileo argument, the capibility of the sats is totally dependant on what is in your sky at the moment. If there are more GLONASS birds overhead, use GLONASS, if there's more Galileo, use Galileo, that just makes sense. However the challenge is how to know WHICH birds are in your area. I've found a good website that will show the positions, and future orbits of these sats, and you can project to see where they will be later. Of course, you do need internet access, but I generally will check before I leave home.

  • Less Galileo satellites, but I'm having better track against Glonassciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1373407.jpg
  • Look what I found for iOS!

    And it's free!

    Good find! Thanks for sharing.
  • Not sure if i can post this here, but i think you really need to address this issue:
It's about the altimeter/barometer issue. i read that several peoples here experience the same behaviour with the beta FW.

Today i ran a workout which i did several weeks ago. almost all the 6 minute intervals where on the same "road" with 2 minutes downhill recovery jog (first 12km are the workout part, 0-6km where the exact same trails and "road" ).

this one was recorded with the 8.0 fw elevation gain ~1200 meter

this one on today's run with fw 9.20, elevation gain ~940

    https://www.strava.com/activities/1692791167/laps

i think the difference is pretty obvious :D

do the devs. work on this?

i reported this issue about two or three weeks ago to the support. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1373657.png

    Question:

When selecting GPS+Glonnass or +Galileu, does
Garmin use one or another or a combination of them?

I’m experiencing issues with the stair recognition. I just climbed up from the underground about 4 or five floors and the Denice 5x counted exactly zero floors...
