9.53 Change Log Notes:

Added GPS + GALILEO support (Activity Settings > GPS). (Requires GPS version 2.20)
Added abnormal heart rate alerts. Enable these in Heart Rate widget > Heart Rate options > Abnormal HR alert. An abnormal heart rate will be detected if your heart rate exceeds the entered threshold for an extended period of time while sedentary.
Fixed a bug causing Cadence values to be 'stuck' when not pedaling instead of returning to 0.
Fixed a crash seen when viewing SwimRun activities.
Fixed a crash sometimes encountered when selecting apps.
Fixed a bug causing some activities performed on multiple devices to be double-counted when viewing Training Load on Physio TrueUp devices.
Fixed a bug that could prevent the Fenix 5X from progressing past the initial screen when booting after a software update.

There is an app for iPhone (GPS Plan) that shows the current satellites. I vary from 1-5 Galileo satellites.

Has or Will the lag when switching from or to an IQ Custom watch face be fixed ?
Try GearMin as a test.

Still laggy.

Still the same elevation calculation problem. Totally new watch after I got a replacement due to the baro.
I downgraded it to v6.83 and did two weeks with it. Then upgraded to v9.10-v9.20 and now 9.53.
With v6.83 I used the 5x elevation data. Now it's useless.

It should be 80-85 m from bottom to top. See also first part.

(Galileo was not great in the woods for this first run. V800 is mostly correct. 5x is really bad in that part. See link)

If you have a Android smart phone with Galileo support you can use free GPS Status app to see the sats on the sky. There may be apps for iPhone's too...

Sadly the Galaxy S8+ i have from T-Mobile in the USA only lists GPS and GLONASS

Still getting altitude errors when bike riding. I noticed that the errors appear to be more likely when biking with a strong headwind.

Sadly the Galaxy S8+ i have from T-Mobile in the USA only lists GPS and GLONASS

I have Galaxy S8 with Exynos version and it supports Galileo. Actually, I thought USA versions support too as S8+ is mostly listed as supporting Galileo.

In the "show all specs" section of these two links it shows the US unlocked and T-mobile version (which i have) as just GPS/Glonass for location technology.

I have yet to see GPS test actually show a Galileo satellite, so this would seem to confirm.

Battery usage rather good. 3%, 12 hours, 0,25%/h, during night with no activity, Garmin watch face.
During activity with GPS, 6%, 65 min, 5,5%/h, GPS-Galileo, RS data field, hrmrun, tempe.

First run with Galileo looks quite ok, no strange behaviour, also battery looks so far very good. First touch is very promising in my view.
