On 8.99B. I just noticed yesterday that my widgets were out of order (possibly since installing 8.99). I can't seem to get a rearrangement to stick. I've tried with my laptop via USB and with my Android Oreo Pixel. Anyone else run into this and have a way to wrok around it? Thanks team.

Am I the only one with this issue? Does this mean hard reset?
  • did you try to rearrange the widgets on your watch itself?
  • There currently are not any issues with moving the Widgets around on your fenix via the Garmin Connect App. Just make sure that you sync after you make the changes. If that doesn’t work, then it is suggested to turn your phone off & on and/or pair your device to the phone again.

To change the Widgets on your fenix 5x goto Setting -> Widgets.

sorry, but at least on the iphone 7 the garmin connect app is FULL of big bugs after the last update.

there is no way the rearrange the widgets! instead one can select widgets as favorites - what is that good for??? i am a little afraid to hear, that you think that there is no problem with the current version of the connect app. i was waiting every day for a bug fixed version to be released.

Tengo un iPhone 8 y con la nueva actualización de Garmín Connect no podemos reorganizar los widget. Ahora hay que hacerlo desde el reloj y es un trabajo tedioso.
  • Bandit Thank you for letting us know you are using an iPhone. We were able to reproduce what you are were reporting only on the iPhone no matter the software version is on the fenix.

We have reported it to Garmin Connect Mobile team and they will look into it.

Continue to move the widgets via your watch until you hear otherwise.
  • good to hear that you can reproduce the bug. it's the same with the datafields (no sort and the odd add to favorites) and apps can't be sorted either.

another bug is, that if there are version updates for datafields, widgets or apps, they are not shown as "update available" - they dissapear completely out of the lists inside the connect app. if i want to get the update, i have to go to the store and download the version manually (this was already in the connect app version before the current). as you can see on the datafield screenshot there are only three datafields in the list, but i have four datafields installed.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1352117.png
  • That is not (!) just an IPhone issue..
Same is happening here on a Galaxy S8 with Android 7 ... can only rearrange widget on the watch - does not work using the app!
  • Rearranging Widgets via the Garmin Connect App was only mean to work with Garmin Fitness devices that do not allow users to be able to do this via their watches.

Since the fenix 5 series does allow users to rearrange the Widgets via the watch, the app is working as design when it doesn’t allow users to rearrange them.

Though, we will look into it and please continue to rearrange your Widgets via your fenix 5 until you hear otherwise.
  • haha, come on, so this is not a bug - it's a feature? man, this is really weird :-D

instead of the useful rearrange feature which was working, you added two useless arrows beside each other, a way to mark widgets and datafields as favorites (which does nothing and is good for nothing) and you added the needful feature, that apps and datafields disappear from the list/app, if there is a version update or if one remove them from the questionable favorites list?

i am already looking forward to other upcoming "features" in the connect app. sounds very promising!
