Android connectivity issue

Hi,

I moved from Apple to Android this week and cannot connect my 5X to the Garmin Android app, does anyone have any advice?

I done all the obvious things: try repeatedly, turn bluetooth on and off, turn the devices on and off, search for useful advice online. Nothing has been able to break the dead-lock.

TBH I've had so many problems since moving from a Fenix 3 to a 5X that I'm pretty much ready to check out Polar and Suunto options, so any advice on that would be welcome too!

Thanks,

Tom
  • Just want to jump in here with a little update. The other day I upgraded my Fenix 5x to the new beta (9.71?) that has Galileo capibilities, and tried virtually the same route at Liberty park. (See original post for the GPS track). This time, the track is MUCH better, much smoother, and way better in tree covered areas. I have tried it with a couple of my "standard" little walks, and the use of Galileo has greatly improved (IMHO) the tracking abilities of the 5X. It has returned to the "good graces" column in my list of "stuff". Here's the track with Galileo enabled, compare with the initial track on post #1.
