I am on stock digital watchface. All settings has been set to default by factory reset at today morning. Only backlight settings I changed due to test this issue. I donk know where problem is. Even the google didnt help me.
Guys, I don understand. I tried todays second factory reset and gesture now works. I rated myself as advanced user, but Idont realy understand where the problem was. Only change between first (todays morning) and second(now) factory reset was, that I select my own favourites activities(after 2nd fact.reset)at the wath request at start. Then I go to directly gesture backlight settings as before to test it...and works. Ok, backlight gesture works now. I wouldnt try third factory reset to know if problem was caused by selecting activities. If somethig changed or goes wrong, I'll be back at this topic. Thanks for your interest to help me.
Apparently there is some issue with gestures. I have Flaslihight in Control Menu and when I enable it, it switches off and on via arm gestures, but with a dimm light.
OK so did a hard reset and gesture backlight was back. I then reloaded all my widgets , data fields etc and now it's broken again. Not sure what caused it as I loaded everything back in one go
As I described in Fenix 5 forum - reset helps only until first synch with mobile Connect application. Once synched, backlight became misfunctioning again.

Not sure as to what technique you used but I restored a number of the fit files to the watch and on restore of the settings.fit the problem re-appeared.
