Is the only way to install the beta to drag and drop each file into its correct folder? I installed nearly every beta on my F3 without any issues for over a year but with the 5x the first time I tried to install the beta it corrupted the watches file system and was no longer usable. I know how and where to place the files and I understand the concept and function of the file system on the watch. That being said, I had to return the watch and get a new one as the support team at Garmin could not firgure out what happened.
  • Correct me if I'm wrong but seems to me like the entire point of "no timeout" is because you care about the backlight being on MORE than saving battery. That would be like setting the GPS to 1 second recording then it automatically going into ultra trac mode to save battery

exactly that's the point - but devs seem to have a different look on it...
  • Is your altimeter auto calibration working with fw 3.41? Mine not.
  • Still no joy from Strava live segments. Simply not triggering in 3.41. However, I'll take that malfunction over the previous behavior, which was to freak out and plead with me to get on the nearest (off segment) road or freeway.
  • I believe the backlight setting is for in activity only.when you watch face is showing it makes sense not to keep it on if you ask me,

Does not make sense to me at all! Always on is always on! I the user want to decide when the back light is on or not, if I want it to lit the watch face at night all the time despite the extra battery drain. So is it true you can no longer toggle the light to be permanently on?

This is something the fenix 1-3 have, totally unacceptable to remove this function. Please bring permanent light toggle switch back again!:(

I'd love to be able to tell you, but courtesy of that little gem 3.30 my MacBook no longer recognizes my watch being plugged in so I can't do beta's anymore I guess. Brilliance in action

    1) Reset your device, it'll be recognized by the mac again.

    2) Use a Windows machine to roll-back FW to previous version.

Calm down. It hasn't been removed.
If you want to decide when the backlight is on or off settings>system>backlight and change to your preferred preference.
It's all working fine for me and nothing has changed.
