Anyone got the silver with the official garmin leather band? I'd be keen to see how it looks, in particular how the buckle looks with it.

Also with it being non Sapphire do you bother with a screen protector?

Agree, very bright. And the case color looks the same in the shot of the two versions (silver version not slightly lighter as Garmin website seems to show and others have indicated)

Having gotten my hands on the Silver in person, I think I'll be returning my Black/Sapphire... Wasn't quite sure how I would like the shiny bezel but it looks very slick. I dig the black band moreso than the blue one. Looking forward to getting leather band too.

I am not. I've had several non-sapphire fitness watches and have never had an issue while regularly training throughout the year (swim/bike/run)... The only blemishes/scuffs I'll typically see are on the bezel. This was true for both sapphire and non-sapphire watches.

Would be nice if garmin did the leather strap with a silver buckle.

As nice as sapphire is for scratch resistance, it muddies the F5 display a bit. Plus, screen protectors are cheap and sacrificial.
