  • On 2.95.

The following was tested last night:

    1. Backlight "watch" gesture set OFF.

    2. Note in-hours for automatic DND (sleeping); DND was ON.

    3. Backlight "in activity" gesture set to "after sunset"

    4. Start activity (running)

    5. Gesture DOES NOT work (no backlight), but when notifies (e.g. GPS lock, etc) come the light does come on.

    6. Exit activity, manually disable DND.

    7. Start activity (Running), gesture STILL does not function.

    8. Exit activity, set Gesture in-activity to "on" (not "After sunset)

    9. Start activity (Running), gesture STILL does not function.

    10. Exit activity, set WATCH gesture to "after sunset".

    11. Start activity (running), gesture now WORKS.

It appears that the gesture setting for *watch mode* is being obeyed when in an activity, not the "in activity" setting.
  • The Garmin Cycle maps are no longer showing on my device? I updated the western Europe maps through express shortly after putting the beta on..

Also the watch 'disconnected' during the map update so not sure if this broke it... the map .img file is still on the watch.

Any ideas how to get the map back?!

This is seriously getting ridiculous! I have gone from not reliably been able to connect via USB, and now I can connect but 'all' maps have disappeared!!!

This IMO is fast becoming worse than the F3.

Not to be Captain Obvious, but there's a reason this is a Beta release.
  • Has anyone tried reverting to 2.9 and seeing if that brings the missing maps back?!

I'd suggest not getting too dramatic & remembering this only a beta. Try at your own risk and if you're willing to be an early adopter, bugs are to be expected.

Kudos to the dev team for fixing this!

Could you please consider adding an option to disable the optical heart rate sensor for certain activities (i. e. Mountainbiking). I either strap my watch to the handlebar or wear it over my jacket and don't want to turn the OHR off manually each time.
  • Battery Usage under 2.95

I am getting poorer battery usage since 2.95. I am seeing about 14% drain per hour during an activity. I have previously seen around 8%.

Anyone else seeing this? I don't think I have changed anything regarding backlight etc but if no one else is seeing it then I will look again
