I have placed a pre order of a standard silicon band 5x with Cotswold Outdoor a few days ago...

Does anyone know when they will be receiving their next influx of stock from Garmin ?

costwold outdoor is a trusted site?

I would say yes large retailer with plenty of physical shops. Also was(is?) the only UK supplier taking orders for the 5x as far as I could tell and you can get 10% off the list price.

They (Cotswold) are to be trusted no problem. I have ordered all my watches from them. The 5x arrived a couple of weeks ago.

New Fenix 5X with Firmware 2.5 pre-installed

Hi,

Very pleased to have received my Fenix 5X from Cotswold this morning in particular as I wasn't expecting until mid April.

For me this is an upgrade from the Fenix 3HR that I have enjoyed owning for the last 12 months, but so far very pleased with my upgrade.

The watch arrived with firmware 2.5 already installed - not sure what the changes are from 2.40, but so far so good.

The watch is very fast & response and for me the crisper watch face is a worthy upgrade to the 3HR.

Sure about that? Seems 2.40 is still the current version.

Mine too I was a bit surprised but when I connected to Garmin Express it says I have 2.40?

I suspect they are doing a number of internal beta releases to get the best production ready firmware possible. I reckon v2.50 was considered better than 2.40 so someone Oked it for the product line. 2.72 is out now so upgrade to that

CW
