Just like an aggravating, but anxious kid.

I was happy with my 405, then the 410, then maybe 605, 610, F2, now F3. F3 works for the most part. Its crashed on me. Its locked up on me. But I still like it. It does much more than I need, but I can live with that. the 5x does even more than I need. But I dont know if I'd like maps or not. But I do like the idea of more memory and faster processor. That spells future proof usually. I might not like mapping. Ok. so I may not use it. I might not like the OHRM, though I hope it works. If not. So be it. I really really hope it wont lock up during my next 50miler, 100k or 100miler. That really blows. It blows that I cant charge it while its on my wrist. But eh... I can hold it while charging, or faster it to my pack. Ultras are hard, holding a while during recharge. Cake. I'm excited. I'm prepping my F3 for resale, hoping to reduce the chunk the F5x is setting me back. But my preorder is in.

I ordered on the 16th. I did it in the shop as i had vouchers and the manager said I was 8th. Of course, that could be totally wrong but it's nice to know you're near the top! :-)

Walked into my local general sports shop yesterday and saw that they had stock of just one 5x. Promptly snapped it up :)

Launch firmware seems to be 2.4. So far everything working fine and I loaded OSM maps for my area yesterday. Mapping looks great, but of course, the size of the screen is always challenging. But definitely not as bad as I was anticipating.

Could you post some real life photos? In different lighting conditions? Any other first impressions? Still struggling to choose between 5 and 5X...

My first order was in January. I then changed to order slightly and my current preorder was made Feb. 15.
It just seems odd that there is no available date. Amazon often has dates out more than a month.
