I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
I wonder if that includes the bundle, because thats what I have on order along with a metal band
So after nothing from B&H I talked with them today and they told me that they didn't received the stock they thought they will get yesterday, they hope to receive it tomorrow or only Monday...bad news for us , but again it's only a Watch and we can be a little bit with patience

Yeah I spoke with them yesterday (03/16) around midday and they said they hadn't even received tracking from Garmin yet and had no idea when they'd be getting their shipment in (despite the previous estimates of 03/16 being the day).
Same price and no sales tax outside of NY... I had mine sent overnight so it will be here on Monday..
Unless you are bound to BH for some reason, cancel it and order at the link above.
Yeah it's unlike them, and I'm certainly not thrilled about it.
We have a contract with B&H so we can grab things at a nice discount (plus the no tax thing); otherwise i'd jump ship in a heartbeat. In my case it's (unfortunately?) worth the wait (but thanks for the tip; hopefully others can benefit from that :) )
Just placed an order for the 5 sapphire with Paragon... thanks for the tip, hopefully they still have some!
Glad many of us could order from Paragon, I am wondering how they have so many on hand. Still waiting for mine to get shipped today on the overnight shipping.
REI now shows the 5X in stock. I'm hoping the sapphire 5 bundle will show up soon though. REI chat said the SKU is in but couldn't say when it would be available for preorder. I have credit there from returning the 3HR from the altimeter issues. Due to their outstanding return policy, I'm going to go for the 5 but am still anxious about it from the issues I (and many others) have had with the 3HR. Can't wait until someone does a teardown to see if the hardware on the barometer has been changed.
