I think it will be good to have one central place to have the latest news people here about the updated release date. DCR said it looks like early March. The garmin site says 5-8 weeks but thats the default time on all new products. Everywhere I read it says "By end of Q1" which is the end of March. Rei still doesnt have it listed yet either. Has anyone heard anything more specific?
I placed a preorder at REI on Monday for a 5 Black, just got an email that it shipped. I guess I will have to return that since I found the 5 Sapphire yesterday. So anyone with REI order should be getting them soon

I managed to snag a fenix 5 Sapphire today at Machsport in Austria. My local retailer received 4 different units today, so it looks like they are already available worldwide, albeit in very small numbers.
Ordered a 5 last night from Holabirdsports (gray/black) as they were in stock and got tracking number. Cancelled Clever pre-order (silver/blue). Think it was meant to be because I just couldn't settle on color and was thinking I had made a mistake and started thinking I wanted gray/black. Winds up that's what I'm getting. Originally had a sapphire pre-ordered but decided I didn't want black bezel. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Works out great as it'll get 8 and 18 mile runs this weekend. My 235 has been absolutely perfect for me but probably just finished it's last run which is almost sad. Not sure if I sell or it becomes my wife's. Now for tempered glass screen protectors to come out for it.
