Fenix 5X Plus: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=14335

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

9.10 Change Log Notes:

  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the device would error out when trying to sync a music playlist using Wi-Fi.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Please send all bug reports to [email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 Plus series you have in the subject line.

  • We do plan to make this a public release in the near future.

  • Doesn’t work, in my experience. I don’t get the 0200 error but music syncing absolutely does not work.

I can connect to wifi absolutely no problem at all. Uploading activities works fine (which is lucky really, seen as you’ve screwed up Garmin Connect syncing) but “Update downloads” in Spotify results in the “spinning” action and then nothing. No connecting to Wi-fi, no updating downloads. Then trying to exit the Spotify app freezes the device as per the picture.

I would follow the remove and reinstall process suggested in the troubleshooting, but of course reinstalling is a problem because I’m not at home to use Express and...well, the Garmin Connect app...

I’ve also lost gone fully charged to reporting 20% battery remaining since installing this at 0900 this morning, despite doing absolutely nothing with the device (not even checking the weather, because obviously you’ve broken that as part of the Garmin Connect release too).

It really would be helpful if you could could stop breaking the things we’ve paid for... maybe consider testing things before release. Crazy notion, I know.

  • After updating from 9.0 to 9.10 all controls has been reset, all applications has been reset, pairing with Hrm-run was reset, some CIQ fields stop working (ex: Running Power)

  • No improvement. I still can connect to my Vodafone-router but when I try to sync, different error messages occur (mostly "keine Internetverbindung"). Connection workes perfectly at work (with 9.0) and my Fenix 3 had no issues with my routers. It is really disappointing that Garmin does not solve this issue for a device which is on the market since a year!

I purchased the Fenix 5S Plus June 24, 2020, for three reasons, the ability to play music on the go, track my fitness level, and the 7Day battery life. For two days I've been receiving the Wifi 0200 Error, I've been searching the web and cannot find anything to fix this, so until Garmin fix this, here is what has worked for me.

How to download music from Amazon Music to Garmin Fenix 5S Plus:

    1. Update your device, use Garmin Connect on a laptop (Took three hours for me)

    2. Setup your Amazon App on the device via Garmin IQ

    3. On your phone, set up a personal hotspot, (I am using an I phone 6S)

    4. On your Garmin watch go into wifi settings, delete any existing wifi network, then add the hotspot network as a Wifi network, enter your password.

    5. Now go back to Amazon Music, and download a playlist (25 songs download in approx 5 min)

    DONE

    Note:

    - If your battery is below 65% then it will not download the music.

    - Stop your phone from going into sleep mode otherwise, it may lose the hotspot connection and stop downloading the music.

    - Make sure you are connected to Garmin Connect at all times.

Let me know if it works for you and if it does, then like the post so others can find it too,

    Thanks,

  • You are commenting on a 9 month old issue, which really does not make sense. Also the problem was referende to a BETA firmware version 9.1 and we are now at RELEASE version 12.00
