Anyone got the 7.00 update?

Everyone, we identified a mapping display issue within the software 7.00, and fix it in software 7.10 that is currently being released.

We just wanted all of you to know in case someone gets a second update in just a few days.

I got the update yesterday. So far so good. Seems the post activity drain has been fixed as well as the incorrect battery levels reported after charging. So far, I haven't noticed anything new since the 6.72 beta so I'm not sure if there is anything else to it.

I think there is 2 new things (or I just did not notice them before) but under <Settings-Safety-Incident Detection & Assistance>.
Which need to be configured in the GC app under Safety & Tracking.

I just checked GE and the 7.10 update is available to me.

Glad to hear releases are coming. 7.00 installed yesterday with the Wi-Fi, but 7.10 is absent. Expected to see 7.10 soon, at the stage 20% too.

What are the mapping issues? First time 7.00 loaded it showed 30 min indicators "loading maps", one by one. Is it the mapping issue?

Dump it in your GARMIN folder
Take it off the USB cable and accept the install

Update: Installed fine. Booted, took a bit longer than usual on the loading maps part but finished. Watch is now on 7.10 and everything seems to be in order. Now closely monitoring battery consumption!

I got the 7.00 yesterday for my 5+. There were a problems with displaying the maps. Done the manually upgrade to 7.10 fixed the problem. Missing the battery overwiew widget.

Thanks for this. Still waiting for the UK update so just threw this one instead.

7.10 on board. Round trip routing calculations take a lot of time. Switch between routes causes to appear blank map for a long time. Very slow map panning.
Native map application - open and observe white screen for 15 seconds.

Strange. Mine refused to see 7.00 let alone 7.10.

Maybe it was because I was on the beta?

Wouldn't worry - I'm UK also and no sign of it yet, but it's still only at 20% availability.

Glad to read that some or possibly all of the battery issues are fixed, this was my only concern with the watch. Wonder if we will now see higher usage during activities to compensate for no post activity drainage.
