Fenix 5X Plus: https://www8.garmin.com/support/down...s.jsp?id=14335

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

6.55 Change Log Notes:
• Fixed an issue where one couldn't Race an activity from the activity history menu.
• Fixed an issue where the alarm clock status was incorrect when accessed through Power Controls.
• Fixed an intermittent issue where the device could crash during an activity.
• Fixed several minor issues with music.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 Plus series you have in the subject line.
• Thanks for the update, I already updated ... I will have to test this out. However I have not had any issues streaming music with an activity but have not tried the voice prompts yet .. (Running / biking).

Please test when possible and give feedback. Thank you.
• Can confirm, it did it on autolap, and when my interval ended. Rolling back to the previous build this one is useless for me.

Oh no, what a pity.
odsweng, are you seeing reports of this bug?
• Could someone with installed fw 6.55 press the light button for 7 seconds and report, if something/what happens, please? Thanks
(don`t worry, the self-destructive mechanism will not trigger!;))
• It sends an alert to the emergency contacts you have defined in GCM, turns on GPS and pikcs up and sends your position with the alert.
You have three seconds to cancel the alert before it is sent. And afterwords you get an option to send a "Disregard message, I'm OK" .
The position you sent turns up as an activity in your own Connect.

A very nice feature in my opinion. Very similar to Incident Detection, but manually initiated.

• If you press the button for something like 5-7 seconds you get the screen for assistance, but if you continue to press the button, the watch powers off as it did in the past.
• Please test when possible and give feedback. Thank you.

I would love to, but the weather here in AZ sucks right now (Raining and in the low 40's) .. I will test soon!!!!
• Is this a planed functionality on the light button? They should better make it available for a hotkey and the user can decide, if he want have it and on which button...

Because if a user doesn’t want it and hasn’t configured assistance in gcm, he gets always a massage to configure assistance in gcm, if he presses the button for 5 seconds on the way to force a softreset...
• Does this mean that we have now 4 different functions depending on how long we press the Light button?

Short press: Light.
2-3 seconds: Control menu
7 seconds: Alert message
20 seconds: Shut off

I think they should stop now. I would rather not have to be all too precise in the duration of my long button presses.
