Next firmware?

When? Long time now and not even a beta. Ok better tho do good work, quality befor quantity. But i like to test ????
  • I think now they are very busy work on the new watch 945 and I expect March they will show new watch and this is the reason
  • I’m sure there will be more firmware updates but aside from a few minor things that need to be fixed, the 5x+ is a complete watch. I love the DEM feature, one of the most underrated features of the Plus series.

This year is going to be a big year for Garmin in terms of health, so I expect a few new sensors to come out with their new models (3-4 this year).

Are you kidding me ??? This watch crashes/restarts like crazy during runs and wheb activity is paused and resumed later. These often restarts makws the watch completely unreliable during races and even workouts! I hope for a recent firmware update that fixes it otherwise I will return it.
    ???
  • No, I’m not kidding as it works just fine for me. That said, everyone uses their watch differently. You’re waiting patiently for a firmware update. Have you even contacted support to get assistance with your problem? What do they say? Have they informed you of an impending update to resolve the issue that you’re having?
  • And lets not forget all of us APAC users who are STUCK on v5.1 from October due to Power meter bug is ONLY fixed in the 6.51 beta firmware.

Garmin should be ashamed. I don't DARE plug my 5x+ into a computer in pure fear that an update will get auto pushed.
  • As Garmin are still updating the Fenix 5 let alone the 5+, I think we can expect many more firmware updates for the 5+. PABD is still an issue and Garmin have admitted they are looking at it.

    The WHAT feature? DEM?
  • Digital Elevation Map. Simple explanation, GPS locates where you are and based on the installed maps, gives you the elevation known for that point on the map. It’s very accurate, so I use that to calibrate the ALT instead of using GPS alone.

I test it out in the same location as a test and it always comes back with the same information.
  • Looks they have moved on. The Garmin people were more active on here a few months ago, but now have gone silent. They more then likely met their sales goals on the 5 plus series. No need for them to make it better. The big Christmas ad campaign probably helped. I'm guessing there will be minor updates, but probably just to test fixes and features on the next watches.
