Well, today i had 2 issues:
    (using 5.53, GPS only)
1_ Look at the starting point, really weird deviation, i waited like 30 minutes for GPS fix (it was a 10k popular race); start and end point were the same, btw.
2_ Have a lot of problems pairing BT headphones so (20 mins before the start) i unpaired and paired again, tried music and was working fine, when the race started the green cyrcle of the song was moving but i didn't hear anything, did "next" to other song and same, it acted like it was playing but no sound (volume was ok), so all the race without music. After the race i turn off the watch, turn on and music was playing fine. It's like the waiting of 20mins in pause mode screwup the thing.

  • Yesterday I transfered some Strava segments to the F5+ and went for a long trail run. I confirm that they don’t work. They are into the segment list but I had no notification of approaching, timing etc. My activity settings are correct:
    Segment Alerts ON
    Auto Effort ON

I wonder why things are not working for you. On a 6 mile run yesterday and bike ride in to work today, Strava segments were working just fine on my 5+ on sw 5.53. I do tend to sync frequently with Express via USB, which regularly updates the Strava segment data on the 5+. Are you only syncing segments via GCM?

I did the sync through GCM and the segments transfered to the F5+ correctly. They appear in the Strava Segments list. I remember that this featured was ok some weeks ago. The activity I used yesterday, had 8 data screens ands I had the course navigation enabled as I was on an unfamiliar path. Maybe segments are not working properly when navigation is enabled. I don’t know, I have to do some tests.

Ah, that explains things. From my experience Strava Segmemts don’t work whilst you are navigating a course or route (calculated by the watch from the routeable internal map), the segments also won’t work when you are executing a Workout or doing the LTHR Test routine.

So it makes sense...false alarm! ????

Multiple issues lately with Fenix 5s plus (all came after downloading 5.53 beta):

    1. Floors climbed errors

Today, I went on a 6 mi run on a very flat path (around 80 ft climbed for the whole run) and the watch said I climbed 15 flights of stairs! Prior to the run I had 0 flights climbed, so I know it was all generated from this run. Also I have run this same route many many times and prior software versions have measured 0-3 flights (definitely has been variable in the past but never this bad).

Had a similar situation on a walk yesterday. About 4.25 mi, again a route I have done many times, and would expect 3-4 flights from but watch said 16.

    2. Battery issues

In general, battery drainage seemed a little better initially. But then I had a new issue today. After several activities, I charged the watch to 91%. When I took it off the charger, a different stock watch face was on. And then it drained to 83% over 15 minutes! There was nothing different about the charger I used or anything else.

    3. Memory full message

Over the weekend I had a message pop up that the watch's memory was getting low and I needed to sync activities to Garmin connect. Well I always sync automatically to garmin connect via wifi or bluetooth after an activity, so all my activities had been saved except for the one that had just been completed. I was away from home, so could not check files on my computer, so I deleted a few activities. I was able to do more activities without the message popping up again. When I got home and connected my watch to the computer, it said I had 8 MB free, so I am confused about why that message came up in the first place. I have owned several other garmin watches for a much longer period of time and have never seen this message before either.
  • virtual partner is still not working. but i am sure you will fix some music stuff in the next beta
  • I understand your frustration regarding virtual partner and you are of course allowed to think that music is just a silly gimmick thing, but has it occured to you that other people may care about the music stuff?

I don’t understand why you need to put those two features up against each other.
