I can't figure out how to get the headphones to not cut out. If I run with my left palm slightly turned down, it helps. I assume this is because the BT signal can't really penetrate the case and emits from the face more.

And yea, the battery life is poor. With v4.20 it's terrible. The betas help, but you have to make sure you keep a BT connection or the BT will try to poll for one and use up your battery in the process. The only way I found to do this is pair the watch to the app, and close the app so it runs in the background. Then never open Garmin Connect again. If you do, it will screw up the connection again. If you don't, activity will sync to Garmin using the BT connection and the app in the background. You can confirm the watch is connected in the background by viewing the calendar or weather widget. If there is no red flag/banner with an exclamation point that appears when you open the widget when the app is closed, then you are connected properly.

Just to clarify, when I say close the app, I mean closed - not minimized. In IOS that means swiping it off the screen.
  • I saw a few posts and pictures of improved GPS tracking, but mine is the same or worse. Together with the big hit to battery life, this beta is a dud for me. I was running on the road in this picture, but it has me running through houses. (It seems no matter how I upload this picture, it's tiny. Can someone tell me how to fix it? Thanks)

I think the battery drain is due to BT or/and Wifi, my watch was away from the router and the watch, if that can help to understand.... 4.20 runs well for my batterly.
  • I I used the new beta today running an out and back on a greenway. Out- 3.32 miles. Back- 3.05. It was the same distance. The map has me in the river and way away from the path.
  • Today I run like always everything is fine , but in the watch altimeter show me jump 125 to -32832
barometr also not show correctly 1013 to 55

And yesterday hang up stop works but after restarting ok

Same problem with mine, it started after less than one month after purchase. It's not the BETA, it's the watch!
Sent mine in assistance for this, but they sent it back to me with the same issue. Hope the assistance in your country it's much better than in Italy.
Expect the watch to do this once a couple of days from now on!

  • Has anyone else noticed that the music player skips the last 5 seconds or so of a song when switching to the next song in a playlist with this beta?
