Since update to 4.20 im having really exagerated hours of sleep, here you have 15 and 12 hours of sleeping, when i went to the bed after 0:00 (so less than 8 hours of sleep each day...), you can see there is no movement after 0:00...

Firmware 4.64 beta and still getting too much sleep tracking hours, synced in the morning at 8:00 was fine, now synced again (10:30) and shows +12 hours of sleep.

My real sleep is marked with orange. Reported to the beta team.

  • I’m on 4.20 and a Fenix 5 Plus. Irrespective of when I actually wake up, it records that I wake up at exactly 10:24 most days.

    Almost unusable as a result.

Firmware 4.65 beta and still getting too much sleep tracking hours, +15 hours of sleep.

My real sleep is marked with green. Reported to the beta team.

Need to know if this is firmware or hardware issue....

Or is it a Garmin connect problem? I am not sure if the sleep calculation is done on the watch or in the cloud by GC in which case the watch is just transferring the movement data...

Good point, i suspected this too, since sometimes i see normal sleep-hours and after Syncing the things goes crazy, thus, +15 hours sleep results.
  • Perhaps a good idea to visit the forums of other devices that feature sleeptracking...

My sleep times are spot on. Do y'all have your bed and wake times set correctly?

Could be. I tested a few new Garmin watches the last weeks cause I wanna get a new watch, own the Fenix 5s for over a year. And the 3 I tested, my Fenix 5S, 5s Plus, Vivoactive 3, show the same bad sleep tracking times. I don't have the problem with sleep being added afterwards, but sleep times are almost every time 40-80minutes more than my Fitbit, which is pretty accurate. It got very good over the months, pretty close to Fitbit, but then they started the REM phase sleep tracking and since then everything is messed up. Well at least I always get a lot higher sleep times compared to the time before the REM phase introduction.
Now testing the Forerunner 645 for the first day and sleep time seems ok, don't have a Fitbit device at the moment to compare it to though. And it was only the first night.
