Marking location of putts in new software update

Hello,

I know the ability to mark location of first putts was included in the last software update for the s70. Is this feature now also available on the epix gen 2 ? The maps have been updated. When I click view green and hit the start/action key as per the s70, it doesn’t seem to offer marking putts as was described for the s70. Thanks.

The epix Gen 2 series of watches received the putt location marking feature with version 16.22.

Hi Cody,

can you please double check/confirm marking putt locations is available on the epix gen 2? I have that software installed that you mentioned. The action button (top right) does not mark putts…

I posted twice about this, the last being 5 months ago and absolute crickets in response. Insanely disappointing customer service, especially considering the price of premium Garmin watches.

Can't say if/when they might introduce marking putts like the S70.

But really you aren't missing anything.

We can mark putt and flag location on the watch but garmin doesn't use any of that data for performance stats, club stats, etc. Sensors are needed for that data just like before.

No idea why they added this feature to watches. Maybe there is a long term plan but they are keeping that to themselves.

I mean, you would think if they were actually aiming to provide useful stats to the golfing population, they would consult with someone who could relay what is actually needed in order to provide useful stats. Even just copy what others are doing if need be lol. It’s just all very disappointing.
