S70 plays like distance not working

The weather and wind plays like isn't showing. Just get a dash next to it. I have a connection to the Garmin golf app and Garmin connect and the watch shows wind when I go into it. Just nothing on the plays like. I've uninstalled and re installed Garmin golf app but still no joy. 

What more can I do.

Pixel 6 with Android 13 on watch version is running 13.25.

  • No it's still hit and miss. Sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Tried all the suggestions but still only randomly worries to the point where I don't even bother with it anymore. Pretty rubbish this isn't sorted yet. I've had the watch for months now and it's had a load of updates. This was one of the main selling points to it.

  • It's been nearly a year and this STILL isn't fixed.  This is false advertising.  I've gotten the "plays like" to work 1 ROUND out of over 40 rounds I've played in 2024.  I paid $700 plus tax for THIS FEATURE yet ... it never works.  Can we get a definitive answer on why this is such a problem to work properly? 

  • You should make sure the software is up to date on your device. Currently, version 17.28 is the most current version available for your device. 

    Also in my previous response I steps to check and make sure your location settings are set for precise location. 

    Essentially, there is not a software specific issue open for the S70 at this time regarding PlaysLike Distance...so if you are still having a concern, hopefully you have contacted support. You should also ensure your units of distance are set to the unit of measurements you are expecting in the System settings directly on the watch. 

  • I've done that.  Still doesn't fix it.  The only time I got it to work is by resetting my watch to factory settings, re-installing newest update, and then uninstalling and reinstalling the garmin golf app.  It worked for ONE round then reverted back to not working.  Again; it has worked 1 round in well over 40 rounds play thus far in 2024.

  • And to confirm.  The Front/Middle/Back yardages on the first screen work.  The plays like screen however ALWAYS has the SAME EXACT yardage to the middle of the green (yellow number) as the first screen.  It NEVER shows a different number despite slope, wind, and humidity being present.

  • I have contacted customer service several times on this issue and keep getting the same response you provided here.  Which does NOT fix the problem.  When is it time for you to just replace my watch?  Seriously.  This is a lot of money for the KEY FEATURE I wanted to never work.
