Hi, on the S20 device I have Bluetooth: On, Notifications: On.
According to the instruction videos on garmin.com notifications of new text messages (sms), emails etc are supposed to flash up in the device display. I can't figure out how to get it to work. I did turn on notification banners in my paired Iphone. Not sure if this is necessary. It still doesn't work.
