Forum image size limitation

I still can't upload any picture. Always get a message of Invalid File Type... have tried jpg, jpeg, png etc...

I have the same issue. MY only workaround is to open a 2nd window, goto my profile, then media and upload it there. I can then insert int into the post I was trying to do so with origionally!

Tried the above instructions and got an error message as well file 500 kb. Tried a smaller file size 150 kb and just got a dot. Nothing seems to work?

Ok, photo 1 was added with the Upload button on the left. Its a 505kb jpg. 2nd phot0 is a 659kb GIF. Chrome and windows 10. What am I missing? They are just dots

@Chuckcoffee: I don't know. What's weird, though, is that even the captions for your images aren't being displayed properly, when I click on the image placeholders in your post.

Ok. Tried again saved the file with size 2822x2117 Pixels. File size is 659kb. I uploaded it in the media section. Then for this post did Select from Photo Album as kittenski suggested.Should not have to do this. Something messy in all this but at least a band aid. Thanks
