GPX / TCX Import doesn't work anymore - FW 9.00/9.02beta

Hi,

I've tried to import today 3 different GPX Tracks (from alltrails.com) in a lot of different ways.

=> copy them 1:1 via USB connection into the Garmin/New Files folder

=> convert one with gpsvisualizer.com to gpx and copy 1:1 into the Garmin/New FIles folder

=> import one to gpsies.com and export a GPX track again, afterwards copy 1:1 into the Garmin/New FIles folder

=> send all three files via Basecamp to the Edge 1030 (first of all import the GPX files into Basecamp)

But nothing of this very different ways are working anymore with firmware 9.00/9.02 beta for me.

What are the differences since the firmwares before or the known limitations (i.e. only 50 tracks) for storing tracks.

Are there any known modifications for the procedure of importing GPX tracks to follow them on the map?

Any help to fix this is very appreciated!

Thanks!

Michael

    Michael,

did you check on your device ?

would you please share the files you used on your E1030

so we can verify on our E1030

What do you mean with "did you check on your device?"

I've imported all variants of the GPX files to my E1030 with FW9.00 and afterwards 9.02, Nothing works. I didn't downgrade to FW 8.x or 7.8x

Uploading GPX files isn't possible for me. Forum popup says error please get in touch with adminstrator!?!

What is the best way to backup the tracks and restore them for testing purposes?

Is there any recommendation to check the files/folders stored on the E1030?

how many files are there on your device ?

zip the file and upload here or provide a link to it on a cloud storage

What is the best way to backup the tracks and restore them for testing purposes?

when you have the originals...just do as you first put them on your device

when not copy the files somwhere for backup

and for restore just do as you first put them on your device

Is there any recommendation to check the files/folders stored on the E1030?

    do not understand your question

After deleting all fit files out of the courses folders on the internal (25x fit files) and external (SD-CARD, 70x fit files) storage I have still 15 tracks left on the device. Not sure where they are stored and how I can delete them.

BUT now I was able to import (used Basecamp now what doesn't work before yesterday) the GPX file.
    ----

So again the question: Are there any limitation on then numbers (i.e. 100) fit files which can be handled by the E1030?

New files and course folders (internal and external storage) are empty.
Deleting device.fit doesn't help as well (internal storage). On SD-Card no additional device.fit file available.

OK, great understood. If the limit isn't user changeable that was the limit I'm looking for because I've close to 100 files in my course folder including the pseudo files I'm not sure where I can delete them.

So I'll delete the old or not needed files to decrease the number of files.
If I just copy 1:1 the courses .fit files back they ares shown with correct names on the E1030 but in Basecamp I see (now) only the creating dates of the files.
Is there any better way to import the files back to the E1030 so that Basecamp shows them the same way (correct names) as the E1030 is doing?

    Thanks for your help!

try to delete them pseudo files from within your E1030 navigation menu

Is there any better way to import the files back to the E1030 so that Basecamp shows them the same way (correct names) as the E1030 is doing?
