Beta Version 14.08- 'Check for Updates' Only

Hello Garmin customers!

We have our next beta update available for Instinct 3 Series! This update is available for the following watch models: Instinct 3 AMOLED 45mm and 50mm; Instinct 3 Solar 45mm and 50mm; and Instinct E 40mm and 45mm, Instinct 3 Tactical Solar/AMOLED, and Instinct Crossover AMOLED. 

Software version 14.08 is available via 'Check For Updates' on your watch. To download the update, on your watch go to Menu -> System -> Software Update -> Check For Updates. Your watch must be connected to GCM in order to download the update.

Note: only devices enrolled in the Public Beta program will receive our Public Beta updates. More info on how to join the program is available here.

If you encounter a bug while using Beta software, please report the issue under the appropriate section within the Beta Bug Reports forum.

After updating, your watch will be running the following software versions. These can be confirmed on the Menu – System – About pages.

*The Software Version is the number on the very first About page. This number should always match the “Host” version number written on the 6^th About page.

If you experience an issue using our Beta software, you have the option to backdate software and return to the version that is currently Live. Files for backdating software are below.

However, please note: if you choose to backdate software, your watch will not be able to download the same Beta update again. You will need to wait for the next Public Beta to be made available, at which point selecting Check For Updates will download the newer software. In other words, if you backdate software, you will stay on that backdated version until another new version is available.

The links to download files for backdating software are listed below. Select the link specific to your watch model. Please note that your computer will download a .zip file when you open this link. This zip contains the files you need to backdate software, as well as a "Read Me" text file with further instructions on how to backdate.

Please note that backdating software will reset your watch to default settings.
