Drive app crashing

Just recently, the Drive app crashed when I sent it a gpx file. After the crash, it wouldn’t even open. I deleted the app, reinstalled it, and repaired it with my Zumo XT. It opened fine, but when I sent it a different gpx file, it crashed again and wouldn’t open. Thoughts?

Well, just updated the device software, prompted to before a trip tomorrow, as well as the mapping. I now have this problem. Selecting the Drive app on opening a GPX file on my Android phone crashes the app. Frustrating to say the least.

Rebooted both devices, uninstalled Garmin Drive and reinstalled it setting it up with Garmin login etc. Still the same problem.

Android version 4.16.18 (2021-05-21 14:44:57) is having this issue as well. Have not been able to send a GPX file from the phone to Garmin Drive app without "Drive keeps stopping" message and Garmin Drive not showing sign of receiving. Did the uninstall Garmin Drive, reinstall. Did the restart phone. No luck.

I am still having the same problem as of 14th of June, on Android. App version 4.16.18. hope the devs read this :)

Same problem for me, androind version release 4.16.18 drive crahes whil i'm opening a gpx file and it couldn't reconnect to zumo, anyone has an old and working apk file ?

Same problem here, trying to evaluate MyRoute-App, but can't make that last step into the GPS from my Android device. Also V4.16.18. I am also confused about the use of web based Explore (which seems to have native support on the Zumo XT) and Garmin Drive as synch / connector tools. Hoping for a fix so that I can complete the eval of MyRoute-App for my purposes.

Hi , i am also myrouteapp users, you can upload into zumo by using USB cable from PC. I solved crash problem by installing an old version of drive 4.13, you may find APK file it by searching. Ho new release asap

Thanks for that, I have been able to use the USB cable. But I don't want to travel with a laptop. I am looking at Explore as an option also. Thanks for the information regarding Drive V4.13, that is good info.

Instead of using laptop you may try to connect zumo to phone just using the cable, i didn't try it yet but it should work as laptop.

Temporary solution was to revert to an older working version of this App. Mucked with phone's security settings a bit to allow installation of APK files, then grabbed this older (stable) version from apkmirror: Garmin Drive 4.13.32 (2020-10-14 12:52:44) I'm finally back to working great as I was able to a month ago.

Yes I'm trying to share a gpx file saved on my phone, & share via Drive to my ZumoXT; but DriveApp crashes as soon as I try to share the gpx file. Bluetooth route file transfer to SatNav capability was the reason I bought ZumoXT, and it isn't working. Come on Garmin sort it out!
