Garmin, I cannot edit activities!

I cannot edit activities for two days.

Garmin, your management decided to force everything online, because the Apple sheep do so, too! So if you do that, then you HAVE TO MAKE SURE your software and infrastructure can handle the load!
Since you are not capable to do so, give us a local software that isn't dependent if your infrastructure is only once in a time able to handle things correctly! This local software then can sync with your servers, when they are running correctly once in a week!
  • SUSSAMB,

It works from time to time but 90% of the time, it doesn't for me in IE and Chrome - unless there's a setting that is incorrect in my system. I don't recall it working this past week at all. I cleared my cache and even tested whether allowing popups would help. It didn't.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a problem editing settings as well as activities. The settings edit issue was fixed but this one isn't.

I'm in Canada and the ability to edit activities is off more than on it seems. As per another posters advice, I have a VPN and I log in with a Singapore IP address and I can get activities editing to work. You would wonder why Garmin even cares about your IP address. this is just plain silly. The Garmin status page is useless. It doesn't address Activities not working currently.

Garmin connect is still broke! The developers at Garmin really do have issues!

I do quick edits if I access the activity via the calendar. Can't do the in depth stuff but there is quick edit.

Garmin needs to get this fixed!

As it happens, I just installed a VPN today. I tried Singapore and lo and behold editing activities works. However, for me, it's still faster to just edit in Classic than the task of switching to Singapore and the lag it creates. I understand that editing multi-sport activities needs modern. I don't do multi-sport activities. I just do 2 different activities each time.
  • The edit function has always worked for me in both modern and classic. However, after seeing the VPN "fix" noted above, I thought I'd see what happens on my company VPN. While on VPN, all features work EXCEPT editing in the modern UI. Works fine in classic UI. So essentially the fix actually breaks it for me. I ran a packet analyzer (tool used for network troubleshooting) and discovered some potential issues right at the point the "edit" button is pressed. I've sent this information to a few Garmin contacts to see if they can use this information to help fix the issue.
