Can't edit or remove gear

The new Gear function in connect is a very welcome addition. But it seems to be a little rough in the edges still. I cannot remove or edit gear I have entered, does anyone have tip? I've tried removing the widget all together and it changes nothing. I am now stuck with gear (shoes) I can't edit or remove. Any help is welome =)

When you add a new pair of shoes make sure you change the first use date to the date you first used that pair of shoes. Then you can add that pair of shoes to the events you already ran. You can not add them to any events before the first use date.

Same problem

I have just experimented a bit with the gear by adding my bikes. I ignored the "First Use" field when setting things up and it defaulted to the day I created it (today for 2 bikes, Saturday for the other). Now it only makes those bikes available to add to an activity if they occurred after the "first use" date. So I would like to be able to go back and edit the first use date but it is locked from editing. I guess I can delete the bikes and recreate them with a new first use date, but it would be easier to just unlock this field.

There must be a way to backdate the bike, I have 10 years of Polar data I plan to convert

Retire device on date other than today

Edge 510 has old GT bike until 31 March 2015 (sold) and new Pyga from 1 April 2015 (first use).
Also showed both bikes on "old" Connect
"New" Connect has not picked up the devices - installed old bike onto Connect, but can only retire from Today (can't find an obvious way to retire it on 31 March 2015).
If I enter new bike and show 1st use date 1 April 2015 - instal old bike with its 1st use date (2012) then if I don't make it defaulkt bike it doesn't capture - if I use "other" gear category, I can only retire it today.......
Any help out there?
