I updated to Garmin Connect modern on Wednesday and since then have been unable to upload training sessions from my 410 to the site. Have been looking around for solutions but to no avail. Any advice will be much appreciated.
It looks as if we'll have to hit their Facebook page with our concerns since no one from Garmin seems to be monitoring these forums. As someone who works in customer excellence training, if I were to see this level of response in my organisation, I would be asking some serious questions (and quite possibly firing myself:))
I was in the same boat with my 405; I was prompted to upgrade to Garmin Express to replace the Ant agent, and when I did I could no longer upload anything. I decided to remove & reinstall Garmin Express, but when I went to reinstall it I saw an innocuous link on the download page for 405 & (I thing) 305 users; when I clicked it, that's when I was let in on the secret that Garmin Express doesn't support the 405 at this time. I re-installed the Ant agent, and I'm back in business now.
Garmin, if you're going to prompt users to upgrade to Garmin Express, you need to also make it clear which devices are and are not supported; I'm not a fan of being asked to upgrade to something that doesn't work for me.
I was in the same boat, I uninstalled everything, then re-installed it with all the latest versions then everything connected again, I must add, I did not re-install the new Garmin connect software, just the latest ANT+ and communicator.
Not only have I been having problems with my new 500 when connecting to Express/Connect, the device itself has been misbehaving since the coincidental launch of Modern. Freezing on rides and not recording some of the distances covered. Autopausing/Autorestarting every few hundred metres etc. Very frustrated. And I'm a recent convert to Garmin. Feels like a few hundred € wasted tbh!

Theo - thanks for this info. Did you lose any of your old data when you uninstalled the software? I'm afraid of losing 2 years' worth of marathon training data.
