I will never buy any of your devices again! First your website was changed upruptly without telling users about three months ago, then it became slower and slower. Now we have another change that is supports only Windows and Mac OS. What about linux? The Linux firefox plugin doesn't work and your new software doesn't even allow manual upload like before. Well done Garmin, you piss me off. You have good satellite watches but crappy software and website support. There are so many competitors for you now, you're simply shooting yourself in the foot.

I am so frustrated with what garmin are doing i paid good money for the device i have.If this continues i will no longer recomend garmin products! Garmin connect was great before they started to change it. Why fix something that is not broken?

Bring back manual upload or support Linux users, your choice.

What is going on - why can we not upload now?

I can't see an import option in activities either :(
  • Upper right of http://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities. They've made it small and not that easy to see; it's iOSified into a text button without any obvious sign that it is a button. Click on it, and you get the manual upload window. It's there for me now. Haven't tried to actually use it, though.
  • Go to your dashboard and click on activities? Where?

Click on the (small) word "Activities" in the activities panel of your Dashboard. You should get a list of your activities.

The upload button just takes you to garmins homepage where they want you to install the new software. .Which then only works with the newest version of MacOS, which I don't.
I guess that was it using Garmin

The import is there but only in the modern version. Problem is it lets you import a file from the computer. What about trying to upload data from a Forerunner 305. It doesn't work for that. Let us continue to use the "Classic version" and reinstate the upload button.

Another dissatisfied user here. The "modern" version doesn't seem to be available either. The Garmin site has never really been the best - with this it's dropped way off the bottom of the league table. Bye bye Garmin. I shan't waste any more time here.
  • I have the same issue, the upload button takes me to the screen where I have to install Garmin Express, which does not allow to register my garmin 220. The upload from the device is also not working. So I am not able to upload any activities anymore.
