Now there is a very good chance I'm being stupid, so apologies if I am! :)

I created a segment 12 days ago, it is still stating "The leaderboard is still being created for this segment. Please check back later". Is this normal, and of so how long does it normally take please?

  • Garmin Team, this is frustrating. Clearly there is a lot of good will and high expectation for the new Segments feature - so at least from me, thanks for going down this path to put this feature into your product. But equally it must be obvious to you that it does not work reliably. I can imagine it not is simple or easy to map new and past runs to new and past segments - the computational power and storage must be significant. But what is really annoying me, and I suggest causing you some brand damage, is the ongoing non-working state of this feature and the apparent silence from you on the matter. Do you even read these forums? Do you care what your users say? Why not post a status update and set our expectations that it will take a further n-months to get right. Whatever. I've got my share of runs that should map to segments and segments I've created that should have runs mapped to them. I don't think you need more links to sort this out but happy to provide them. The main point I am trying to make here above and beyond it not working is that going by the absence of responses or updates from your side, YOU don't seem to care.

    Segments has been down for at least 100 hours now - is this a ploy to drive everyone to Strava subscriptions? I bought my Edge 1000 to use a free Garmin feature listed on the box and it is down every month. Sort it out (plus all the spamming on this forum).

    I am fed up to have even not an answer from email tech support or Garmin news... This feature was one of the more attractive on the box for training and race follow-up !

    Segments was pretty stable and working well for me this year ... but has been down for the last few weeks https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/status

    Disappointing that they are taking so long to fix it.

    Came across this thread because I've been waiting for months for the only two segments I created to update, was wondering if it always took that long!

    Guessing from the silence around here that this hasn't happened and given how long it's been going on for it's a bit of a lost cause?

    I have two segment that won't populate the rankings and the details are gone. They show in my list but when I click to view details, I get a dead page.

    I've since recreated them so if an admin could delete these, it would be great.
