    Try to follow the four-step instructions. Even if you press the Submit Query button and get some piece of code in return that ends with the word "failure", do not be fooled. Check you GC dashboard, the file you wanted to upload should be there.

    Same here. I've been using Garmin Connect for "ages", but suddenly the 310XT .gpx files won't upload. (And I'm using Linux, so I can't use the Garmin SW made for M$ Windows....)

    Same here. I'm really getting tired of Garmin (and a lot of today's electronics inductry in general) constantly going farther and farther out of their way to patronize us like this by removing what are sometimes the only ways for certain users (who either don't use one of the two OSes they support or simply don't want to install extra bloatware that should be completely unnecessary) to use some of their products. If we all knew how to copy files off of a digital camera in 2002 without some proprietary browser plugin holding our hand through the entire process, why can't we be trusted to do the same thing with out GPS receivers now? Have people gotten less intelligent over the last decade?

    Last week I managed to reverse-engineer the web service that webupdater uses so I can still get firmware updates (the old well known URL format doesn't work for new versions anymore). If it comes to the samething with connect I'll honestly just stop using the service since there are already several alternatives out there.
  • Quick update to this problem;

    In FAQ some very friendly user @TRAVIS.VITEK told me to try uploading my files via http://home.comcast.net/~travis.vitek/upload.html this link and it have actually worked! Still I hope that GC wil fix this problem so that we cann use upload button in future.

    Yup that did it for my eTrex 30
  • I am having the same problem using my Dakota 20. I can see the data in Base Camp and it graphs and displays clearly all data that I was recording (temp, heart rate, speed, coordinates). I have saved the file in *gpx and *gdb formats but the Garmin Connect still does not import the data. I have noticed also that "Map My Ride" will also not import the same data, saying it is "not valid data". I have recorded similar data before and was able to import into Garmin Connect but not now.

    Is the temperature data not compatible with Garmin Connect?

    I'm using etrex30 and having the exactly same issue.
    I've been using etrex30 gpx file by manual upload from my Linux PC, and never had such issue before.

    I've tried some workaround with the gpx files but no luck so far.
    I've also downloaded the past data which I uploaded before without any problems, and tried to upload it again. It showed the same error.

    After all, I can't upload any gpx files at this time.

    Nope. I know what you're talking about, but this is new. No files are making it up to the Dashboard.
  • I am the developer of the Fit File Repair Tool. You can use the Repair Tool to convert gpx into tcx or fit files. I tried to upload a gpx file with the Repair Tool's internal uploader to Garmin Connect and was successful. The Fit File Repair Tool uses the fit file format to do uploads to Garmin Connect.

    This doesn't fix Garmin's current issues with gpx files - but if you are interested in getting to know the Fit File Repair Tool as a workaround to this problem, please have a look at the trial version of the tool which is available here: http://fitfilerepairtool.info.

    All the best

    Nope, still no luck.

    I can upload fine straight from my Garmin, but not .gpx files on my computer. But those same files upload and work fine on other websites...
