Having trouble transferring data from 310xt to Connect

Hello,

I have had my Garmin for a few months now and only really started using it in the past 2 months. I have timed my workouts and then was able to transfer my workouts via ANT+ agent. With the change to the new Garmin Connect and ANT + agent being disabled, the first 2 or 3 times I have not had an issue with the data transferring. Today, my watch shows a message Transferring Data, but the past 2 workouts are not appearing on the dashboard. I have followed the instructions on the troubleshooting guide and everything is set up properly and I tried logging a 10 sec workout. Nothing is changing. Not sure what else to do?
  • Also having problems with Garmin Connect and Sporttracks 3, do not use Garmin Express. Was working ok for last couple of years now no transfer occurs have to reset the ANT to pair with new devics and on the 310 have to set pairing on everytime to transfer data, can you please confirm there is an issue athat is being fixed.
  • I emailed Garmin and they've come back with this.... AND it's worked for me!

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe. I am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

If you want to send workouts, courses, settings (or any other data to your device):

Garmin Express does not yet support this functionality for the Classic view of Garmin Connect; we are working to add that functionality and expect a fix by the end of March.
Until that time, please use ANT Agent. Garmin Express and the ANT Agent cannot run at the same time so we recommend uninstalling Garmin Express.
Note: Customers with a Forerunner 405, 405cx, 410 or 305 are currently not compatible with Garmin Express. Please continue to use ANT Agent until your devices are supported (currently targeted for end of April).

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know. Alternatively you can search for a solution here: http://www.garmin.co.uk/support

    Kind regards,

The same problem. Last success was 30-Apr and today I cannot download anything to Training Center or SportTracks 3.0.

I was able to get data to ANT (took one hour, a couple re-installation) but it won't send anything to training center, even though, its box is checked,
Data transfered to garming.connect but it is worse than SportTracks. Based on this thread, problem has been seeing for quite long time.

Same problem as above. V frustrating. Last download was 1st May. Have tried uninstalling Garmin Connect and re-installing with no change. Have tried Transfer All function from the 310XT no change. Not sure what to try next. Seems amazing that they are released a Modern look when unable to transfer.

I got response from Garmin. It simply states that they don't support any longer Training Center or Sporttracks. Only support is Garmin Connect.

They adviced me to transfer data to Garming connect by Ant, export (have to do one by one) training events from Garmin connect to desktop as TCX files and import them (one by one by one again) to Training Center. The same (one by one again) export-import execise for Sporttracs.

"...and if this does work or is too time consuming, use only Garmin Connect to monitor your trainings."

By this response and no inform in advance --> 310XT is my last Garmin product.

i haven't had any trouble with my 310xt until today. after all of my activities I am able to return and upload without having to power off my 310xt. yesterday I did a race in a different state so i saved the data after the race and powered off my 310xt. i ran into some trouble retrieving the data today and here's my experience:

i struggled with this for a couple of hours today. here's what got me through it. i am using garmin 310xt with garmin express software on windows 7, not garmin ANT Agent. I tried downloading ANT agent and it could not find my 310xt even though paring was enabled on both my PC and 310xt.

    1) cleared 310xt of all activities other than the one of interest
    2) uninstalled all garmin software from PC (usb drivers, garmin express, 1 more thing [i forget])
    3) mode-> history -> transfer all on 310xt
    4) browsed to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\GarminConnect\Forerunner 310XT-3872302587\Upload\FIT_TYPE_4 and saw a new file with no extension (ex: .fit)
    5) renamed to have a .fit extension and was going to upload through garmin connect website, but when i pulled up the website the data was loaded into my garmin connect account

Ditto Here, to add to the convo: The ant stick that came with my 310xt isn't even recognized by by computer after the first couple of transfers (running Windows 7.) My old stick from my 410CX works, but I have to delete and re-pair my device for each transfer. This at least pushes the data to the stick, and up to Garmin Connect, however, is a bit of a pain in the but.
