Is there any way to use different color for different activities in the new calendar view. Everything went blue with the new redesign and it's a pain in the a.. to differentiate and find particular activities in the current calendar state. Any way to bring back the old colored activities calendar?
Here is the text of an email I sent to Garmin Connect support. I got a reply of (I paraphrase) "Thanks. Sorry you don't like the changes." I'm pretty dumbfounded about the changes to the Calendar, and really need (at least) the clear color shading by activity type, and notes about the activity, added back in. Crazy!

I must add my voice to the throng of users clammoring for the old calendar view. I'm not one to complain about changes in general, but I am stymied by the "improvement" of the new calendar. The old calendar entries allowed a quick scan to see what TYPE of workout was happening via color coding along with the descriptive text. The new calendar is next to useless in terms of imparting info, from the tiny font to the pale pastel font colors to the lack of shading by activity and lack of description of entry. PLEASE think about this like a user and restore the old functionality or I (like many others apparently) will have to head off to Strava or some other tracking software. I don't want to but the calendar is how I interact with the training and the "upgrade" is a massive step backwards. Thanks for your help!
I agree with all the complaints about the new calendar format. The old calendar format was much more useful. I am struggling to understand any advantage to this update. Please bring back the color coding and the text.
I took a few days off after my marathon, collected a few swims and small recovery runs on my watch, went online to download tonight and 'what the hell!' Horrible calendar for all the reasons laid out by KVHALLETT, so hoping these changes will be reversed, i loved the easy view, colour differential in a font you could actually see, it had everything we needed...
I agree with the above posts.The new calender format is NOT an improvement but a huge step backwards. Please change the calender back to the old format.
Have to agree with the comments that the calendar is a big step BACKWARDS. The biggest crime is the disappearence of the colour coding, please reinstate ASAP.
I agree with the complaints: the new calendar view is much worse than previous due lack of activity colour coding and lack of activity descriptions.
I would also propose while you are developing the calendar: please ad activity symbols/icons also to the activity types that currently do not have an icon. This should be very easy task. I am for example keen crosscountry skier and there is no icon for that.
I hope your listening Garmin as the new Calendar is bad News & definitely a step in the wrong direction. Please bring back the old calendar or at least the old features that everyone has mentioned in this Thread ( Exp. Colors, Text, Icons, Visual Info & simplicity, etc) I wont even bother to use this New Calendar as its just to visually frustrating. My 2 cents. : (
