Garmin connect calendar sync

I'm sure this has already been asked but is there any way to sync the Garmin Connect Calendar with Google calendar or any other calendars ? I put in a training plan and if I don't keep an eye on the Garmin connect calendar OR the watch, I don't know what to expect in advance.

Thanks
Cheers.

    Hi

I tried to add the garmin calendar in my google calendar with tue URL. It worked fine, I only got one month, it's normal, ok, everything is fine.

But when I edit an event (delete, add...) on garmin, nothing changes on google calendar. I tried to remove the URL, and add it again, but it does not fix it. I also tried to export the calendar file in Garmin (just by adding the URL from the calendar in your browser). I get a file that I import into google calendar. This time my changes are here, but I won't have the synchronisation and I suppose I'd have to do this every monthy or every time I change something in Garmin Calendar...

I'm wondering, maybe I'll cut off the garmin calendar and only use Google (by searching training programs somewhere else...).
  • How long are you waiting for it to update - I use the url in outlook and that takes a few minutes to update when I change something in the connect calendar. I also have the url plugged into calendar apps on a couple of Android devices and these seem to take much longer to update even if I manually select "sync" the calendar just updates when it feels like it but it does eventually update. Have you tried with outlook ? - I'm assuming that if it works with outlook then Garmin is publishing the information correctly and it is the Android applications that are not polling the url correctly or often enough
  • Have just checked my phone calendar again and it has now sync'd - you can see the rough delay from the timing of these two posts - I've no idea why this happens and the delay is not always this long :(

Thank you for your answer. I removed yesterday the sync between garmin and Google, and I found an other training program (here, in french: http://www.lepape-info.com/entrainement/debuter/courir-30-minutes-sans-sarreter-cest-possible/). I added the program in google calendar manually, and I deleted the Garmin program in garmin calendar. It'll be fine for me, I guess.

Hello Guys, thanks for the help in this thread. As the others also it worked fine to import the garmin calender into my google calender. I have also the issue with the 30 days limit. So far it is ok for me, but one question I didn`t find an answer. Today it is the 7th may and the workouts are displayed included 6th june. Is it then updated automatically? For example, today I imported the calneder on 7th the google calender shows me the workout from 7th may - 6th june. When I look into it on 12th may, is it then displayed from 12th may - 11th june?

    Thanks in advance.

    bye
    Michael
  • Not quite sure what you mean by import - I have subscribed to the Garmin Connect Calendar using the url and it is constantly updated - usually any lag is only a matter of minutes for any changes to be reflected in outlook or google calendar

    Hi,
I have done the following with success. It's for Outlook.

    1. Get the URL of the training calendar as described earlier in this thread.
    2. In Outlook calendar, add a new calendar from the internet and insert the URL.
    3. Show the new calendar (At first it is unnamed) overlapping your "normal" calendar to see the rest days and training days with all of your other planned activities.

    Have fun
    Kim ;-)

Yes I have gotten this to work for me as well. Both for Google Calendar and Outlook without an issue. Great feature to have.
  • hey..

anyone has experience with having 2 training calendar?
is the way to import to google calendar is to.. add both training into garmin calendar.. then import BOTH of them into google calendar unnder one calendar name .. maybe call 'garmin training'

or can i separate the the 2 training program.. training program 1 , training program 2.. ?
