Edit Splits

Hi,

it would be great if one could edit Laps/splits on a workout in Garmin Connect.
Great options would be to manually set splitpoints on a map and a autolap feature to set splits at av given interval.

I agree too. Have just accidentally added two splits by mistake and all my automatic ones are now gone
  • JMVARGAS -- Strava has a neat tool that lets you crop your ride. Works real well for those times you leave the timer running in the car. Then you can export the activity from strava and manually upload it to GC. A little effort required, but I'm not holding my breath for GC to change soon.

Yep, Strava is the best tool I've found so far to edit TCX files, unfortunately you lose any splits recorded manually or with auto-lap when you upload back to GC, unless I'm missing something ?
  • The Strava crop feature works. Just did it with my Air Force Half. The funny part, had to use Garmin Connect's Player feature to pinpoint where the workout stopped and I inadvertently turned the timer on again. Now if Garmin were to make Garmin Connect as sophisticated as Strava and/or the old Garmin Training Center.
  • When I ran FitFileRepairTool, one of the macros in the Access app was detected as TrojanDownloader:O97M/Dornoe.A!ams. May be a false positive but I have no way of knowing, and don't care to take a chance with a downloader trojan.

That's true. I don't blame you. I had the same concern and received a response from the developer.

This is a false warning and caused by the fact that my tool is a MS
Access application. I wish I could do anything to prevent this warning.
    Sorry!

Nonetheless, if you're having an issue with a specific fit file, post it here. We'd be glad to help you out.
