Don't expect Garmin to give you an official answer. I noticed this too about 2 weeks ago and that's all there is to say about it. We don't know whether it's temporary (though some said it is but my guess is that they have no clue either) or not and this is probably the 5th thread about the same subject.
GARMIN PLEASE FIX THE SWIMMING DATA EXPORT BUTTON!!!!
PS this is the workaround: Replace #ACTIVITY_ID# with the ID of your activity (in the URL).
WKO+ has got nothing to do with this issue and, besides, I am using another and far better third party software at present time. I need the TCX but it only fails with SWIMMING. All other FR910XT activities in Garmin Connect DO have the export feature so it's a Garmin Connect problem that started appearing in January and only with swimming... don't know why.
Besides even if WKO+ did the trick, I'd still have to export it to my software so... why bother, it's the same from GC so... it's GC that has to be fixed.
If WKO+ can take in .fit files directly then you would not have to do any exporting from Garmin Connect. ANT Agent takes the files from your device and stores them in .fit and .tcx format for all activities (except pool swim which only has .fit file) on your computer.
I use Sporttracks for post activity analysis. It reads the .fit files from their stored location, including pool swims without any problem. If you have a third party program, web based or otherwise, that reads the .fit file, why do you need Garmin Connect?
If you need the .tcx file you can access it from your computer directly (and the .fit file too)
Garmin does not do very well in looking after 3rd party connectivity. It is the responsibility of the 3rd party app to work with Garmin whether we like it or not. I don't like it. You don't like it and Garmin don't care.
