Shoe Tracking - Garmin Connect

Need I say more, it´s been years since folks first brought this up as a much needed feature for Garmin Connect. I am still using another website in addition to Garmin Connect JUST to track my shoes´ mileage. Come on, it shouldn´t be that complicated to add this type of feature. You already have the best customer service out there. It would be great if you could also make sure that you are the ones providing the best software for using your own products. Thanks.

That's a great idea, but I think you can only use that too track one pair of shoes at a time, is that correct? What if you have more than one pair? ... Like one for track and one for long runs, etc.?
  • Since the tracking/goal is based on "Activity Type" and it groups them all together, you can filter the different shoes on different Activity Types (Running, Street Running, Track, etc.). But that is making more work for you in the long run, unless you have different shoes and select the activity differently per shoe. So it doesn't work well for multiple shoes if you have 1 activity type.
  • This is requested over and over...it should be stickied.

Do Garmin ever act of these feature requests? Seems to have been requested by loads of people but still no traction (pun intended).

It seems to be a "proprietary item" of other softwares! May be Garmin is not willing to pay royalties to third parties to include the feature in the Connect page. This is the sole reason I can imagine for not implementing this stupid and useful feature.
I noted that Garmin FINALLY (!!!) introduced (but only in modern view) the "cumulative time" lap over lap. This is onother long awaited feature! In Italy we use the words "col tempo"; it means "with the time!"

Multi-shoe mileage tracker is definitely a must-have feature, and it's incomprehensible that it's still not in after so many years of requesting.

Anyway, here's the workaround I'm using: I'm assigning one 'event' to each shoe (eg Mizuno17=fitness; Sayonara=recreation), which allows me to mark it on each and every run, and report directly on it by using the Summary Report by Events (over the last 12 months). That does the trick well. Still inexcusable of Garmin not to have the proper feature though...
  • Although finally Garmin finally listened all our comments regarding shoe mileage, I still miss this feature in the Garmin Connect Mobile app... It should be quite easy once it is included in the web app !!
