I think the readings I took were initially a problem due to the fact that the device had stored them prior to my software upgrade. I've walked the dog tonight and the temp range is to expected, currently -1oC outside which fits with the Temp gauge in my fathers car. So after reboot etc. looks to e working ok. I would still like to see a Temp dashboard so you can track rises and falls.

The newest update for the Oregon 450 works as I was originally hoping it would. When I download the track log to BaseCamp, I now get the graph which co-exists with either speed or elevation. To me, that was important.

I am quite happy with the newest update. (My update also did NOT have any of the font sizing errors others have mentioned.)

What will Garmin do for the people who have the same issue but with Dakota 20?

I've just purchased my Tempe to go with my Oregon. I note from the gpx file that it records temperature to one decimal place so it would be useful to be able to display to 1 decimal place on the Oregon.
My Edge 500 does it so I'm sure it's not too hard to add to the Oregon.
Does anyone know if it's possible with the present software release?

It might help if you state which screen you want this on (and attach a screenshot of it).

You don't state explicitly whether you've changed a data field on the unit to display the temperature (it's implied by "I cannot get the thing to display anywhere, in any window.") I ask because temperature doesn't show automatically--you have to manually enable it on one or more pages.

If you do have a field enabled and the unit is paired I can only think that you have a faulty tempe.

I just bought the Tempe to pair it with a Garmin Oregon 450. It works as expected, although as mentioned above once the information goes to basecamp you can see an additional decimal point that is not displayed in the Oregon. Also, does anyone know the accuracy of the reading? I would guess this is the reason that they have not included the additional decimal point.

    Hi,

Does anyone know if the tempe works with an Oregon 300 as I already use chirps and the heart monitor?

I know it says not but wondered if would work! ;-)

    Thanks
