Default location in "Explore"

Would love it if the map/search default location would be my home area (instead of Mexico City)...or at least make it set-able somewhere. Mexico City does nothing for me (I live in New Jersey)...

Also, the search function in Explore needs some serious work to make it usable at all...search criteria, information included in the search results, etc...

The default cities are rotated every week or two. Nevertheless, a lot of people have also requested the same thing - the ability to set this to a location of their choice.

Do a search for explore default location,

this has been requested since August 2009,
(when we always got San Francisco, at least a few people were happy!)

Always going to a random city makes the explore virtually unusable, how hard can it be to allow you to set a default location?

Having only used Garmin Connect for few days I thought I'd missed something in the display preferences menu. This peculiarity is irritating to say the least.

There is a workaround for this that works reasonably well if you are using Firefox.
